If you want to save money on transportation, the "L" train system is the way to go. It's affordable and easy to navigate. Just remember to take advantage of the race day bag check! With all the excitement of the race, it's easy to forget that you'll need your personal items post-race. Don't be that person frantically searching for their bag at the finish line.

Race Day Tips

Race Day Tips: Congratulations, you've made it to race day! You've trained hard, fueled up, and now it's time to crush those 26.2 miles. First things first, getting to the starting line can be a challenge in itself. Plan ahead and give yourself ample time to navigate the crowds and find your corral. And remember to use the porta-potties before it's too late! As you make your way through the course, take in the sights and sounds of the city. The iconic skyline, the enthusiastic spectators, and the booming music will keep you going. You can expect the usual water, Gatorade, and energy gels at the aid stations, but keep an eye out for the volunteer with the candy bowl. A little sugar rush can go a long way in the last miles. Finally, the pacing is vital. Stay caught up in the excitement and start slowly, or you'll hit a wall before you know it. Keep a steady pace and save some energy for that final stretch toward the finish line. Remember, it's not a sprint; it's a marathon!
